Rosace is inspired by the rose windows in the Chatres cathedral in France. I designed my own rose window using sacred geometry as the inspiration and design methodology, as the twelfth century architects did when designing the rose windows at the Chatres cathedral.

Each motif, which would ordinarily be an opening for stained glass in a rose window, is a singular motif made in metal with connections soldered around them. These singular motifs are them linked into one another creating a movable metal sheet. I will use chain and the repetition of the pattern and convert the metal rose window into a jacket-type fitting neckpiece. This neckpiece explores the characteristics of apparel in the form of jewellery.
